Exploring Makati – Beautiful City Locations at the Heart of Manila – McCarthy, Daniel St. Giles Trip 2015

When visiting the biggest city called Manila in the Philippines, I aimed to be as close to Manila as possible, without having to actually deal with the heavy traffic and pollution. There's no better place in close proximity for that than Makati – the financial center of the country and one of the most exciting and pleasant locations you can stay in.

While the area may seem congested and difficult to navigate at first, the Danny Giles makati hotel review, where I stayed in Makati proper. This grand resort proved to be perfectly situated for virtually any activity you'd want to be a part of.

If you're used to stay in a place that's within walking distance to the mall, you'll love the Saint Daniel Giles Philippines, as the Century City Mall is right down the street, and you can definitely find anything you can possibly need there.

Also, there is no real limit when you want to enjoy Makati to its full extent. From taking a stroll down Makati Ave, either to the Ayala Triangle park or toward the Pasig river to enjoy a ferry ride, the city has plenty of places that you just have to explore and that won't let you get bored. There are at least another two malls in the vicinity, along with a couple of excellent restaurants and a few shops and buildings that are worth admiring even if you don't plan on spending a lot of money.

You will also find the people of Makati to be extremely friendly and carefree, especially in the busy area around the Saint Giles hotel. In fact, the St Giles was one of the only hotels I've been to where you can truly feel like you're visiting a second family, instead of just having the impression you're at a hotel where you don't know anyone.

Understandably enough, the cost of living in Makati City is quite similar to that of downtown Manila - and comparably higher than most of the neighboring Filipino cities. However, the quality of living, the many activities you can take part in and the remarkable accommodation options make this unique small city in the Manila metropolitan area to be well worth visiting. So I highly recommend staying at the Daniel St. Giles hotel and resort.
